Who Supports The Beacon Of Hope Service?

The Beacon of Hope could not exist without the support of volunteers and donors. In 2016 we benefited from the following generous contributions:

  • 209 volunteers donated 9,347 hours, the equivalent of 4 full time staff members.
  • 373,506 pounds of food donated by our food partners.
  • Estimated number of meals provided to Madison County people in need (1 meal = 1.2 lbs) = 262,184
  • $88,306 in contributed income, including $58,920 in donations from individual donors.

Where Does The Food Come From?

We rely on MANNA FoodBank, the state and federal government, as well as local individual donors.

Where Does The Food Go?

We distributed 373,506 pounds of food to over 13,800 people.
